Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between their height and their running and standing-broad jump of the Korean girls¡¯ high school students. Data were collected through biometrical measurement and athletic record. Subjects served for the study were consisited of 2,727 girls¡¯ high school students in Korea, sampled from Korean student population ranging from 16 to 19 years of age, using random sampling method by census method. The actual number of cases put into the analysis was 2,727. Statistical method employed were correlation coefficient analysis. The results obtained in the study were as follows. 1. Height by each age group appeared to be unchanged in the aging. 2. Running records of 100 m course and standing-broad jump by each age group appeared to be unchanged largely in the aging. 3. Their heights of Korean girls¡¯ high school students were not correlated with athletic abilities as judged by their running and standing-broad jump. As the results above mentioned, there is no corrlelation between athletic as judged by their running and standing-broad jump and the increasing of their height and weight of Korean girls¡¯ high school students. meight think that is why the older they are, the less their patience is and the more increasing their weight is. Therefore, I could think the quantification the standard table of the physical test for matriculation, which was uniformly estabished by the Ministry of Education that ignored the difference between the age and the weight of Korean girls¡¯ high school students ranging 16 to 19 years of age as one for matriculation, is partly valid.
